Rolled into the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes Orlando. We were greeted by our National Geographic travel team and checked into our hotel. Meeting our Orlando friends, Bev and Dan Meadors, for dinner at Primo. In 1994, the World Heritage Committee launched the Global Strategy for a Representative, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List. Its aim is to ensure that the List reflects the world’s cultural and natural diversity of outstanding universal value. We will be circling the globe in a private Thomson Airways British jet with top National Geographic experts. Our Round The World Trip will focus on visits to 12 selected UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Lima, Peru; Mach Picchu; The Moai of Easter Island; Samoa; the Great Barrier Reef; Angkor Wat; the Great Pandas in Chengdu, China; Lhasa, Tibet; the Taj Mahal; Tanzania; the lost city of Petra, Jordan and Marrakech, Morrocco.
