Arrives 8:00am – Departs 6:00pm

Today we enjoyed our first totally peaceful, schedule-free day since embarking on this trip. We slept in and for the first time, ventured down to the Buffet Breakfast. They have a very nice selection and we have finally figured out it’s much more comfortable temperature-wise to sit back in a quiet corner inside rather than out on the patio in the heat. We’ve had more than enough sun at this point.

As we are exiting the boat, we are greeted by a wonderfully cool, strong breeze. Such a nice change from the heat yesterday. However, once we got away from the sea front, the breeze disappeared. 😦

We walked along the marina into town passing by quaint little shops and cafes with the perfect view of the harbor. We took a 2 1/2 hour walk around Cesme visiting shops and taking some photos.

My big purchase of the day was a table top fan! We are so used to having a fan blowing on us at night and the suite never gets arctic cold enough.

After lunch, I had a nice little nap due to the comfort provided by my new fan!

We resumed our afternoon routine of visiting the Coffee bar for Jim’s coffee craving and my gelato fix. Sadly, it’s always busy there now since the number of passengers on board increased. We really loved it last week when there were only 210 of us on board! No lines, great service, etc. That’ll probably never happen again.

It was really pleasant to be free from any schedule today. We’re sitting out on our balcony enjoying the view as we sail away from Cesme. It is shady and delightfully breezy and cool….could sit out here all day in these conditions! We can faintly hear the entertainers at the pool. There are some very good performers on board.

We are definitely not starving on this ship! Must remember to pack more elastic waist clothes next time!!
