OMG…the Istanbul airport is overwhelmingly huge! Touted as the world’s largest airport, it expects to host more than 200 million passengers by 2025. It is located in the European side of the city and serves more than 350 domestic and international destinations in 110 countries. At this time it appears that only one terminal is functional. This is not the airport to fly into if you are handicapped! You have to walk forever to find things and the signage is awful.

Thank heaven out fabulous travel agent had arranged expedited service for us so we were met at the gate and whisked off in golf carts to finally be reunited with our luggage and onto our Mercedes for a smooth transfer to our hotel.
